- Be United States citizen or legal resident
- Be a current high school senior planning to enroll full-time in an accredited 2-yr or 4-yr college or university in the U.S. by Fall 2011
- Must demonstrate amibition and self-drive as evidenced by outstanding achievement in an activity in school, the community, or the workplace
- Must be recommended by an unrelated adult who can attest to the student's achievement
- One student chosen per state, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico
- The first 12,000 applications received, which have met the postmark deadline, will be considered.
Amount: $10,000 to 42 students; $25,000 to 10 students
