Criteria:

  • 12th grade high school student graduating spring 2012, age 21 years or under
  • Applicant must be a citizen of the U.S. or Canada
  • Create an artwork inspired by Dr. Seuss's Oh, The Places You'll Go!
  • Entries must be unique, original artwork created solely by the student. No plagiarism; no copyright infringement.
  • Artworks may be paintings, drawings, mixed media, etchings, gouaches, silk-screens, etc. and must be two-dimensional
  • No three-dimensional artworks, such as pottery or sculptures, will be considered
  • Artwork may not exceed 16" x 20" in size, must be unframed and unmatted
  • Artworks must be retained by the student , through February 2012, for potential shipment to Chase Art Companies for further judging and/or gallery exhibits
  • Only one entry, per student, will be accepted
  • Previously published or awarded material will not be accepted

Entrants must "Like" The Art of Dr. Seuss Facebook page, complete the application, and electronically upload a photo of your unframed and unmatted artwork in the form of a 300 dpi jpg no smaller than 1000 x 1000 pixels and no larger than 1800 x 1800 pixels
